Financial coaching FAQ
What is financial coaching?
Financial coaching is education, structure, and accountability around your own money. A coach helps you understand your net worth, build a cash flow plan, make decisions with confidence, and actually follow through. The work is about clarity and behavior, and you stay in control of your own accounts.
How is a financial coach different from a financial advisor?
A financial advisor typically manages investments on your behalf. A financial coach works with you on the decisions and habits behind the money: what you earn, what you spend, what you owe, who you support, and what you are building toward.
Who does The Audacity Way work with?
First generation and immigrant professionals, high earners who financially support parents and siblings, eldest daughters and family backbones, and anyone who wants to build wealth without abandoning the people who depend on them. Clients work with Mbu from across the United States, and she is based in Frisco, Texas.
Do I need to already be wealthy to start?
No. You need income, honesty about your numbers, and a willingness to look at them. Some clients arrive with six figures saved and no plan. Others arrive with debt and a raise they do not know how to use. Both are workable.
What happens in a coaching session?
The first conversation is a 30 minute discovery call to see whether the framework fits. From there, sessions follow the Audit, Blueprint, Configuration path: get clear on the numbers, build a written plan, then automate it so it survives a busy month.
How long does coaching take?
A single 60 minute strategy session can resolve one decision. The Audacity Cohort runs 4 weeks. Ongoing coaching is a longer relationship and lasts as long as it is useful to you.
What does financial coaching cost?
Pricing depends on the format: a single session, ongoing coaching, or the cohort, which can be paid in full or in installments. Current options and pricing are on the booking page.
Do you work with people outside Texas?
Yes. Coaching is virtual, so clients work with Mbu from anywhere in the United States. If you are in Frisco, Plano, Dallas, or the wider Dallas Fort Worth area, in person may be possible.
Can you help me make sense of an insurance policy?
Yes. Insurance audits are part of the work, including reviews of existing life insurance and indexed universal life policies, alongside estate and legacy planning conversations.
What is The Audacity Cohort?
A 4 week group coaching program that takes you from unclear to a written financial plan, alongside other people who understand what you are carrying.
How do I get started?
Book a consultation. Bring your questions and a rough sense of your numbers. You do not need a spreadsheet ready. You can also read more about Mbu or see how 1:1 coaching works.
